Prayer is:
- a privilege
- using this privilege as God’s children
- In the past, God’s name was so holy that the Jews cannot even mention the word “Godâ€. Yet because of Jesus Christ, we now have a intimate relationship with God, and we’re all God’s children now.
In prayer, we love Him, trust Him and speak to Him.
The Lord’s Prayer Matt 6:9-13
- To who?
Our father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name - Purpose
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven - What do we ask for?
Give us this day our daily bread - Ask for pardon
And forgive us our debts as we have forgiven our debtors - Ask for protection
And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil - Praises

- Request that which is true to God’s character
- A privilege
- A responsibility
Prayer helps to
- Keep our life on track Luke 21:34-36

Answers to prayers
- Answers to prayers do not depend on our obedience.
- Answers to prayers do not depend on how hard we believe.
