Hi dearly beloved of God,

Some of us might want to make sense of everything in life. But for most parts, our senses are limited to the five basic senses that we have; the sense of Sight, Sound, Taste, Smell and Tactile Feel. So, where are these five senses governed in? It’s in our brain right. So, our mind governs the five senses that we have, and if we try to make sense of God, it will become non-sense. Because God is in the Spiritual Realm. Our five physical senses are unable to reach him. The moment we intellectualize His Grace and Majesty, especially of His Son, Jesus Christ, the further we’ll get from understanding Him.

So, i urge many of my beloved brothers and sisters to approach Him through our hearts. Go to Him with an open heart. Say, “Lord, i seek you. Please help me. I’m lost. How come you always feel so far away from me? How come i don’t feel that you love me? Please Lord, i’m lost like a sheep waiting for his Good Shepherd.”

We intellectualize God’s saving Grace for us. How can we intellectualize LOVE? Impossible!

Ask yourself, how did you feel when the last time your mum or dad forgave you and let it slide something which you know you’ve done something absolutely horrible. Notice i said, how did you feel. If i had asked, what did you think? How different would it have been. I’m sure you can’t think through that moment. It must have felt absolutely ridiculous that they forgave you. But they did.

Now, that was Love on a human scale. What about LOVE on a GOD scale? Unimaginable, absolutely non-sense and downright unbelievable. But that’s Him! He loves us so much!

So, dear brothers and sisters, take the courage to read the Word of God in the Bible. Read the 4 Gospels. Jesus comes to you through His Words in there. In fact, the entire Bible is the culmination of the Revelation of Jesus Christ!

We might think that we are trying to seek the Truth, but most assuredly i say to you, The Truth is Seeking You!

Matthew 18:12-13

12 “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying?

13 And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray.

So, more often than not, it is HE who is searching for us than us searching for Him.

Hallelujah… Praise you Jesus!

I thank you, i exalt your name up on high for you ARE THE RISEN LORD and the King to come.

Your beloved son,
Emmanuel-Reza

I just would like to let Singapore know that there is hope for Malays in Singapore to embrace Christ. I Am one of them! Hallelujah! Praise Jesus! Praise God Almighty! Now i can proudly say that i am a Malay Christian! Gloriously saved in year 2003. Yes, I was born a muslim. Yes, i was born and raised in Singapore. Typically my father tried his best to make his 3 sons understand islam and of course to embrace the basic tenets of the religion…

As a teenager i tried my best to know what islam was about. I deeply believed that there is a God. But somehow this god felt very distant and the feeling of constant judgement is always there… I hardly felt loved…

And so my search began… I embarked on a journey that led me to the Light of Christ.

I was 20 at that point of time. Almost 10 years later, i have come into His Presence. My meanderings into all the other world religions gave me a very broad view of what other faith systems are about. Some aren’t even faith, just merely a way of life, some are rules and laws stacked like jenga blocks waiting to crumble. Others, even, like mystery, occultic belief systems delved very much deeply into self deliverance, being freed into the ALL somewhat. All these seemed very attractive at some point of time but it never did answer the very basis of SALVATION.

Corrupt as we are, man’s ego has taken precedence over who we naturally are. Sin Nature in our flesh is somewhat programmed into our flesh after the fall of Adam. Saintly as we want to be, none of us can come close to the perfection of Christ. But Christ came for us as He is God with us (Emmanuel). How is it possible for man, a fleshly being be able to save himself? Many believe in a spirit; and this spirit is pure, unadulterated love, pure being, pure energy. They believe all mankind have this spirit in them. Now as a Christian i know that this spirit is inaccessible to us until we have the Holy Spirit in us through Christ Jesus after He was crucified on the cross. Only with our salvation and redemption through Christ then can we have this Spirit, this Holy Spirit of God. Other than that it will be the shadow of the truth, the deceiver will use his deceptive spirit and enter into your life. Any form of spiritual entity will give you some form of power or energy, even feelings of bliss and happiness. But all these are temporal, for they are not from the Truth. I am obviously speaking from experience. Delving in forms of meditation, qi exercises, no doubt certainly some have health benefits attached to it but at what risk? We always have to use Christ as our filter and source for the Truth. If not, trouble may brew as the deceiver comes into our mind and body from these seemingly harmless exercises.

I appeal to any of my brothers and sisters out there, if you feel, and deep inside, you know that your are lost… Look for your Shepherd.

Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd; and I know my sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd.” John 10:14-16

I firmly believe in the Word of God. And John 10:16 speaks volumes of His kind mercy and grace. It will only be a matter of time when more of us will come out saying ,”I am born again in Christ!” How glorious will that day be when i can share this pride and gift with sheep from my own fold!

Hallelujah, Praise God… Thank you Jesus… Oh, how so You have loved me…

Yeshua… YHWH is my Salvation.

Healing

Been real busy to blog. Hopefully I can get into the hang of it again

This is a study of a sermon that I attended. So far, in this entry I’ve only managed to cover the initial part. Not sure if I have the time to cover the rest

Let me state my current stand. Who knows, it might even change after my study of what the pastor said. But I doubt it. Anyway…

I believe in cessation of certain gifts. (namely, tongues, gifts and healing). This doesn’t mean the cessation of miracles happening though. We’ll explore further as we go on.

On hindsight, I realised I shouldn’t be blogging in parts, because the full picture is not presented. But going all at one go would be too much, and would take too long

At one point, the pastor decided to warn against an EVIL doctrine.

Evil doctrine?

He said that the day before, he had gone to a varsity to talk to a christian group, and one of the staff had mentioned that a student had left the group because the pastor of that church has taught the cessation of healing and miracles.
cessation of healing and miracles -> An evil doctrine? I suspect he was misquoting, and that the stand of the student is similar to mine. Am I believing in an evil doctrine. Yeah.. he used the words evil doctrine.

And on the weight of scriptures, healings and miracles are going to increase

Hmm….. anyway. let’s move on

He started off with an introduction of the Gospel Message and Man’s rebellion. Resulting in the problem of Spiritual Death and Physical Death. The solution of Spiritual Death is pretty obvious. Rom 10:9-10 John 1:12

So knowing the the dire consequences of sin, the pastor says we should thus go out ,

share the gospel to the masses, lay hands and heal the sick.

Uh. Right.

Jesus died for the healing of our bodies. And he then list a series of verses that indicate that Jesus died for both our spiritual salvation and healing of our earthly bodies

Psalms 103:3 This verse is pretty straight forward. I think obviously both would have to go hand in hand. Salvation is not a 50% thing. And in a way, the guilt of sin is taken away, and so is the power and consequence of sin. But when this healing of diseases will occur is unknown. My understanding is that it’ll take place in sanctification; when sin is mortified, the disease is healed.

Jeremiah 17:14 Uh. I read that Jeemiah was talking about spiritual healing. And also about healing from sin. I guess you can argue either ways. However, again, the passage doesn’t say anything about when the healing takes place. Same greek word healing as used in psalms

Luke 5:24 Hmm. I don’t see how this verse relates to what’s being preached. I thought this was about how forgiveness of Sin is more important. er. but without a deeper study inthis passage, I can’t say more.

Isaiah 53:4-5 While the it’s the same root word for healing as used in earlier verse, I don’t see how you can draw the conclusion that it’s physical healing. The hebrew word has the meaning of to mend, to repair, to make whole.

Matthew 8:16-17 Jesus healed the physically sick. Straightforward. But how does it apply to the point the preacher is trying to make

1 Peter 2:24 No indication that the verse is refering to physical ailments.

Oh yeah, later on in the sermon, the pastor mentioned that healing is for now on earth, because well, you won’t need healing in heaven with your new body. I disagreed with this point. Because… well.. the new body is the act of healing!

Anyway, I don’t know if I have time to cover the rest of the sermon. I’ll try though.

Creationism dismissed as ‘a kind of paganism’ by Vatican’s astronomer

BELIEVING that God created the universe in six days is a form of superstitious paganism, the Vatican astronomer Guy Consolmagno claimed yesterday.

I just keep coming across these articles, not that I’ve got anything special against catholics.

Brother Consolmagno, who was due to give a speech at the Glasgow Science Centre last night, entitled “Why the Pope has an Astronomer”, said the idea of papal infallibility had been a “PR disaster”. What it actually meant was that, on matters of faith, followers should accept “somebody has got to be the boss, the final authority”.

“It’s not like he has a magic power, that God whispers the truth in his ear,” he said.

But the idea is that we have the word as the final authority that we check against, somethign that’s totally infallible. Not a guy who is fallible, and made to be the final authority.

Christianity in Afghanistan

Afghan on trial for converting to Christianity

I think we’ve really got to keep him in prayer, and to also remember the Christians in afghanistan as well.

Abdul Rahman is charged with rejecting Islam and could face the death sentence under Sharia law unless he recants.

This case could also have drastic effects on Christians in the coutry in the future too

Observers say executing a converted Christian would be a significant precedent as a conservative interpretation of Sharia law in Afghanistan.

What do atheists belive in

I had the privelege to attend a session on Athiesm vs Theism recently. If I have the time, I’ll post more about it. It’s easy to argue against athiesm logically, if you are sufficiently prepared.

Anyway, the following is taken from an newpaper article

what, exactly, do atheists believe in, if not in God?

In a nutshell, atheists believe in reason alone, in those things that can be arrived at through intellect and the scientific method. Concrete evidence for God, they argue, simply doesn’t exist. They don’t cotton to leaps of faith or anything that involves a supernatural being reaching into human lives. They believe you can live a happy, respectable life based on human ethics that were derived not from God handing down a tablet but from a code of rules that emerged naturally through an evolutionary process in which humans learned how to live together successfully.

Mammals with dinosaurs?

Fossil clarifies theory on Jurassic mammals

We don’t even need to get started about my own doubts about carbon dating. (admittedly, while I have my stand, i’m willing to concede to any views too, because I don’t know enough)

But what we have here are findings that show that mammals conquered water earlier than thought.

The discovery of a furry, beaverlike animal that lived at the time of dinosaurs has overturned more than a century of scientific thinking about Jurassic mammals.
