Hope, Thanksgiving & Receiving.

Hi Blessed Folks!

It has been a while… About 6 months since i posted anything. Been busy with work, been putting the faith march on the sidelines lately… Prompted to reactivate this blog cos i know it’s been a blessing to many already. : )

What else then do we have on this earth? It seems, day to day, the world we live in is growing bleaker, darker and reeling into chaos. How do we as believers reign in this life on earth?

One word…

As a Christian believer, the primary driving force in our faith IS Hope.

In the Greek text of the New Testament “Hope” in the original language is “Elpis“.

And Elpis is defined by Strong’s concordance as:
1) From “elpo” which is a primary word (to anticipate, usually with pleasure); expectation (abstract or concrete) or confidence: – faith, hope.

And defined in Thayer’s Greek Definition as:
2) expectation of good, hope

We can concur and put both definitions together in the spirit of the Good News as:
Hope = Elpis = A confident expectation of good!

What more can we ask for then? Knowing that we are the beloved one of God and now we can confidently hope for good things to happen in our lives!

Next best thing to do?

Give thanks for what we have in our hands and confidently expect good things to happen, confidently expect the miracles to happen, confidently expect supernatural abundance!

*Best results shown here:

36 Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.
37 He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?
38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.
39 And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
40 And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42 And they did all eat, and were filled.
43 And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
44 And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

The above illustration showed the magnitude of the miracle and abundance, with the very little Jesus had in His hands.

But where’s the key then?

Here it is!…

And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.

Go to the One in Heaven and give thanks with what you have now in your hands and He will give what you do not have in your hands! : )

What’s the last bit then?

Enjoy the fish and bread given! Receive it! Eat it! What’s the point of a miracle or blessing coming your way and you don’t receive it and enjoy it?

Start telling Him that you’ve received your blessing already!

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

I hope you have been blessed!

I pray to all that read this, to have a Shalom 2010! A year of Abundance, Favor & Rest!

Shalom & God bless you all,
Emmanuel : )

36 Send them away to go into the surrounding countryside and villages and buy themselves something to eat.” 37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said to him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give it to them to eat?” 38 And he said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.” 39 Then he commanded them all to sit down in groups on the green grass. 40 So they sat down in groups, by hundreds and by fifties. 41 And taking the five loaves and the two fish he looked up to heaven and said a blessing and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the people. And he divided the two fish among them all. 42 And they all ate and were satisfied. 43 And they took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and of the fish. 44 And those who ate the loaves were five thousand men. (ESV)

11 Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. (ESV)

24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (ESV)

Why I am following Jesus

shallom to all readers

first af all all, I would like to say glory to God and thank you so much to Bro. Emmanuel for this wonderful blogs. this is absollutely a strong messages to all of us who wanted to know the truth in Christ Jesus. in fact there\’s only ONE WAY journey to our salvation. ONLY ONE!! its through Jesus Christ. Hard to accept? To the Muslim brethren…i would like to ask this question. just say if you wanted to go to one place, would you like to follow the one that can give you the assurance or the one that unsure about it? now, let us see a few thought of why i am following Jesus.

#1) because Jesus is in heaven ( that proved He is not a liar nor a sinner ) did prophet Muhammad give this assurance or is he in heaven as been written in quran?

#2) while Jesus teach us to love others and even our enemy…prophet Muhammad ask his followers to terminates those who against islam or even persecuting those who wanted to leave islam. until today…i don\’t have to prove it.

#3) as a Christian I\’ve NEVER been tought to love Christianity because it is just a mere religion but to love God the Father of Whom my salvation comes. True Christian faith does\’nt ask you to love religion but to love God.

#4) Jesus is a perfect picture of how God so much love the world!! without sacrifices that loves does\’nt have any meaning. Useless!! If you say that you love your family but not willing to sacrifice everything that you have…dare not you say you love them! that is why God demonstrated it to us His perfect love through Jesus Christ! No question pls.

#5) As a Christian we never been tought to protect Christianity because we believed God is the One Who fought for us because it\’s belongs to Him. Why we want to protect something when we are in God\’s side. God don\’t need guns and sword to protect His religion. Only man use guns because they dont have power likes God did. and offcourse you have to use guns and weapons to protect your religion because God is not in your side. He only want us to love Him and not religion….

almost all religions can makes us as good and kind as its can be…but without the truth all of our effort is useless..our ultimate of being like that is to be in heaven and the only way to be there is through Jesus Christ. Jesus is already being in heaven so why not just follow someone who have already did just that?

for those who were out there reading this…pls…pray before you read the bible or study it. Pray to God that He will show you the truth. i don\’t ask you to believe in it, but only by praying God will revealed the truth to us. When you ask something from your earthly father…your hope is that your father will give it to you. I believed that God the Father Whom is greater than your father will give it to you when you really ask and believed. remember…dont limit yourself just to your own understanding but see the proof… see the history and see the truth.
God bless you all.

Helpful and eye-opening Site, previously recommended…!

Folks and Sdr2 Melayu saya. Not too long ago, brothe Emmnuel also ada recommend as a good and reliable resource to check out facts re:Islam & Christianity.

Thats a good one, I mean site. In addition, there are also very good links in the Malay language (and Indonesian too) that I would like to ‘syorkan’ kepada anda semua, below.

and the latest info at:

Some of the articles in these BM links (and also the English ones) pun sudah menjawab antagonists like Syukri’s attacks on basic teachings of the Holy Injil / Gospel. They have all been refuted already in toto.

Trust you will enjoy those links, and be blest by Roh Allah maha Esa yang Kudus itu!

What is Love?

Hi dearly beloveds,

How loved are you by God?

Does God’s love for me require me to be in His servitude? Is His love for me contingent on my good deeds? Will He ever curse me should I be disobedient to Him? Do I need to pray more, fast more to have more favour with Him?

I’m sure these are some very valid questions to some of us out there.

The answer we seek is the Cross of Calvary. Please watch the short music video first before reading on.

I See Love by 3rd Day – Soundtrack of The Passion

I truly see Love on that rugged cross.

Can God love you so much that He gave His very best to be punished in your place? Yes because He is God. And HE can because He is a God of love.
We can use a phrase from the world to describe this: Love is not love till you give it away.

Can you and I do the same to our own child? To our own beloved flesh and blood? To punish your beloved one for someone else’s sin?

This love is so amazing and incomprehensible that Paul called it a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Greeks.

22 For the Jews ask for a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom;
23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness.

Jesus Christ WILL be a stumbling block to religiosity, Jesus WILL be foolishness to philosophy.

BUT, We declare to the world that Jesus Christ was crucified and rose again on the 3rd day conquering death, satan and hell, rising victoriously for us!

All that God has done for us was summed up on the cross, ALL His love for us was summed up on the cross, ALL His forgiveness, ALL His mercy, ALL His judgment was summed up on the cross. I used the word was because now we’re living in the IS of God. He IS our Refuge, He IS our Shelter, He IS our Hiding place, He IS our Healing, He IS our Provider, He IS our Prosperity, He IS our Righteousness, He IS our Holiness. We’re now IN Christ. Whatever GOD IS so are we!!! Amen! Hallelujah!

Now, that is love isn’t it? UNCONDITIONAL, IRREVOCABLE, ETERNAL.

ALL that GOD IS, IS us now, the believer in Christ Jesus. He paid His own price of Judgment on His beloved Jesus.

Blessed ones, now Rejoice!

5 But I have trusted in Your mercy; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation(original Hebrew: Yeshua/Jesus).

Blessed is he who sees, blessed is he who hears.

Thank you Father that you hear me always! Father I rejoice in Your Yeshua!

Shalom Shalom,

1:1 Paul, called by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and our brother Sosthenes,

To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge— even as the testimony about Christ was confirmed among you— so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

10 I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment. 11 For it has been reported to me by Chloe’s people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers. 12 What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.” 13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so that no one may say that you were baptized in my name. 16 (I did baptize also the household of Stephanas. Beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized anyone else.) 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

18 For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written,

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.”

20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. 22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 31 so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” (ESV)

13:1 How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
How long must I take counsel in my soul
and have sorrow in my heart all the day?
How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

Consider and answer me, O Lord my God;
light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,
lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,”
lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.

But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me. (ESV)

Another Malay Christian….

Hi All….

I stumbled upon this blog last year. And I have been following it alot. Even though it does not have much entries in it…..
Anyway, just want to say I share the same views as what Emmanuel wrote. Malays are not equate to Muslims! That is wrong. Sure the majority are muslims. But not all are!
I am also borned in a muslim family. Jesus saves me when I was only 14!! Now ten years have past and Ive grown in faith. I just want to tell you guys out there that malays need to be saved too! In revelations it says EVERY tribe will bow down before God…. We cannot talk about world missions if we leave the malays out…

Sure it is a sensitive issue… But Praise Lord that there are more coming to know Christ….

That alone is the fruits of the many prayers that are made worldwide….

Thank you.

In Love, Peace & Truth.

Hi All,

I just want to address everyone who has contributed to my entries with all your comments and replies.

Thank you very much! Thank you even for those who come against me and what i believe in. The fact that you have read my entries prove a fact that God is doing something GREAT in your lives! He will bless you richly and more than abundantly beyond your wildest imagination!

I am here to share His Love, leave you His peace and to speak His Truth. : )

I left an interesting reply to Brother Shah’s comments and i think i’d like to publish my comments here, so that in future if there is anybody else who’d like to comment similarly as Brother Shah, my response is already here.

Here it goes….

Hi Brother Shah,

I can see your impassionate plee not to persuade Malays who are born Muslims to become Christians.

I would say that this does not happen all the time. In fact rarely.

1. There is always a certain restraint on speaking to Malay-Muslims about Christianity in countries such as Malaysia or even Singapore.
2. Most of the time, the Malays that embrace Christianity are those who have been on their own personal spiritual journey such as mine. Nobody preached to me or evangelized to me. But it was my own personal decision. And this would be the usual course of a Malay embracing Christianity.

I do understand that this is an extremely sensitive topic, but i hope i can clarify and bring to light some misconceptions and misunderstandings that we have.

Being Malay does not mean this… Malay=Muslim.
So for example if i put this logic, then… Chinese=Buddhist, Indians=Hindu, Caucasians=Christians?… What about Africans then?

We also know for a fact that we have friends who are Muslims but they are Indians, Chinese, Caucasians and even Africans.

So would the definition of race equates faith?

So, maybe let me begin first with defining what is it really being Malay as a race, not ethinic group(ethnicity is influenced by culture).

This excerpt from Wikipedia sums it up quite well,

Malays (Malay: Melayu) are an ethnic group of Austronesian peoples predominantly inhabiting the Malay Peninsula and parts of Sumatra and Borneo. The Malay ethnic group is distinct from the concept of a Malay race, which encompasses a wider group of people, including most of Indonesia and the Philippines. The Malay language is a member of the Austronesian family of languages.”

As we can see, the Malay race are a people of Austronesian descent. Meaning we have Malay brothers and sisters right across the South-East Asian peninsula. In the Philippines, most of the brown-skinned, tanned Filipinos are Malays by race, but what about faith? They are Catholics most of them. We also have our Malay brothers and sisters in Indonesia, and in some islands there, they are Hindu.

So what we have here is basically a minor misconception of the definition of race and faith. But extrapolating this misconception, leads to BIG misunderstanding spanning decades of confusion. Even back home here in SG, we still encounter many non-Malay Singaporeans simply assuming that all Malays are Muslims. Not their fault actually, because like i mentioned this misconception has spanned quite a long while in our history.

As to the definition of what is Islam and what is Christianity, that is widely available in any resource centres, ie, bookshops, libraries, even the internet.

God made the world so beautiful and unique to have so many peoples of colours and creeds and we appreciate that He left His open arms of Grace for anyone, any of His peoples to come back home.

Much love to you Brother Shah.

Shalom and be Greatly Blessed!

I’ve not posted anything here for a long, long while. Again i really thank you all from the bottom of my heart for keeping my blog alive by constantly commenting and replying on it.
